What times are your worship services?
We have 2 different Worship services at 3 different times on Sundays. Our first Classic Service takes place in the Chapel at 8:00 a.m. Our first Modern Service takes place in the Sanctuary at 9:30 a.m. At the 11:00 o’clock hour, our second Classic Service takes place in the Sanctuary with choir and orchestra added and our second Modern Service takes place in Knox Hall. Our 9:30 and 11 services are broadcast online at live.wardchurch.org. Learn more about all our services.
Where is the best place to park?
From our main entrance on Six Mile Road, you will be directed to a one-way road that encircles the building in a clockwise direction. From this ring road, you may choose one of five main parking areas, depending upon which area of the facility you are visiting. Click here for a campus map.
Do you provide nursery or children’s classes on Sunday morning?
Yes! There is a fully staffed nursery to serve you on Sunday morning. In addition, a delightful, well planned Children’s Ministry provides a wonderful experience for your children through grade 4 during the 9:30 and 11:00 morning worship services. Classes for grades 5-8 are offered at 11:00 a.m.
Why is the sermon on video sometimes?
Depending on which service you attend, you may or may not see the pastor giving the sermon live and in person. Because we have two services going on at the same time at the 11 o’clock hour, one of the rooms gets a video feed directly from the other room. We are one church that offers different styles of worship. In order to ensure that the same message is heard by everyone, we use this format. The preacher is always live at the Liturgical and Contemporary Services. At the 11 o’clock hour, the preacher is live in the Sanctuary for the Traditional Service on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th Sundays of each month. On the 2nd and 4th, they are live in Knox Hall for the Post-Contemporary Service.
What ministries are offered for me, and the members of my family, at times other than Sunday morning?
Ward has over 100 ministries, each with a specific focus, offered during the week. The best source of information on these ministries is here on our website. Or, you may contact us at 248.374.7400.
How do people dress on Sunday morning?
The dress is reflective of our community, representing a cross-section of preferred lifestyles. You’ll likely see as many people in shirts, slacks, t-shirts and jeans as you will in coats, ties and dresses – so dress the way you feel comfortable.
Is there someone I can talk to about what it means to be a Christian?
Rev. Soon Pak, our Pastor of Outreach, would be happy to make an appointment to see you. Contact his office at 248.374.5982 or email him at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Is there someone who would pray with me?
Ward Church has a prayer room adjacent to the Sanctuary that is staffed on Sunday mornings with men and women to pray with you. You can also submit prayer requests online. At the end of each Worship Service there will be a group of elders up front to pray with. Of course, if there is an emergency, we can put you in touch with a pastor through our main reception desk at 248.374.7400.
