Serving adults with disabilities
Potter’s Wheel is a ministry that focuses on the spiritual, social and creative development of adults with special needs. Class meets weekly on Sundays from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. The interactive style of the class encourages sharing of hopes, dreams and personal goals. Included during the morning class is Bible study, prayer, singing, beverages and socialization.
An emphasis is made on how class members can use their abilities to serve God. Service projects throughout the year have these special adults sharing their capabilities in the Ward Church family.
Annual events include:
- Spring & Fall flower planting
- Operation Christmas Child project
- Christmas pageant
Periodically, special events are planned, both inside and outside of the church environment.
Past events have included:
- Cook outs/picnics
- Detroit Tiger’s game
